Subscription FAQs for Customers
- Do I need to buy my own SIM card?
No. The S20 PRO Tracker comes with an integrated global SIM card pre-installed. You do not need to purchase or set up a third-party SIM card.
Why an IoT SIM Card is Required (Despite Having GPS)
It is common to wonder why a SIM card is necessary if the device already has GPS. The key distinction lies in calculating location vs. communicating location:
-
-
GPS calculates the position (Receive Only):The internal GPS module in the S20 Pro works like a standard satellite dish or car SatNav. It listens to signals sent down from orbiting satellites to figure out its exact latitude, longitude, and speed. However, the GPS satellite network is one-way communication—the tracker can receive data from space, but it cannot send messages back up to satellites.
-
The IoT SIM transmits the data (Send/Receive):Knowing where the device is located is useless if it cannot tell you. The IoT (Internet of Things) SIM card connects the tracker to local cellular networks (such as 4G LTE). It packages the latitude, longitude, battery percentage, and speed, and uploads that data to the tracking cloud server/app in real-time.
-
- Are there any hidden costs?
No. The price you pay for the device plus your chosen app subscription plan covers all data transmission, app usage, and server hosting. There are no top-up fees or SMS charges.
- How do I activate and pay?
- Download the TrackerOne app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Create an account and scan the QR code/IMEI code on your S20 tracker.
- Select your preferred subscription plan directly within the app using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Credit/Debit Card.
- Can I cancel or switch plans?
Yes. Subscriptions are managed directly through the app, allowing you to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel auto-renewal at any time without penalty.
