This Radio is Full-EU / Multi-Band 20 Network Radio
This illustration vividly demonstrates the critical difference in 4G radio coverage between high-frequency bands (like 2GHz and above) and the lower-frequency Band 20 (800MHz), particularly relevant for rural areas.
As shown, a high-frequency signal (represented by the inner red circle) struggles significantly with range and obstacle penetration. Its shorter wavelength means it's easily blocked by terrain such as hills, dense foliage, and even buildings, resulting in a much smaller and more fragmented coverage footprint from a single mast. This leads to numerous "not spots" and unreliable service, which is a major challenge for connecting remote communities and workers.
In stark contrast, Band 20 (represented by the expansive blue area) offers superior wide-area coverage. Its longer wavelength allows signals to travel much further and 'bend' more effectively around natural obstructions. This means that fewer masts are needed to cover a significantly larger geographical area, making it the bedrock for reliable 4G connectivity in the UK's challenging rural landscapes. For essential services relying on Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) radios, Band 20 is indispensable, ensuring consistent communication where higher frequencies would simply fail.

I ve been putting the Radioworx K300 through its paces over the last few weeks while working out in the wilds of north Cornwall and I can honestly say this radio did me proud. I often find myself perched on moorland ridges or far down forest tracks where the mobile signal is patchy at best. On one occasion I needed to coordinate with a colleague who was about eight miles away, down a steep valley. He was below tree line, with hills between us, and I half expected the message to be garbled or worse, drop completely. Instead, the K300 held strong. The voice came through crystal-clear, no static, no crackling. Even at points where my phone would lose signal entirely, the K300 s support for Band 20 (800 MHz) grabbed what little LTE was available, and made sure the communication carried on. I could feel confident relaying instructions, checking safety, coordinating the next move all without shouting or having to climb higher just to get reception. Apart from sheer connectivity, the build is rugged. On that same trip I slipped climbing a wet rock face, the unit got knocked, brushed in mud, drenched in drizzle and still worked fine. Battery held up longer than I d ever imagined. If you re working where signal blackspots are more the rule than the exception, the K300 is the kind of device that gives peace of mind. It doesn t just promise range it delivers. Highly recommended.

These radios were set up for me by radioworx , all I had to do was switch them on. We tested them with one of us being seven miles from out and they worked fine. The voice quality was good, so a good first impression. The plus point of purchasing through radioworx is the customer support. This has been excellent from keeping us informed on the delivery date to supplying us with easy to use instructions, answering any questions and setting them up. I would recommend radioworx as they know their products they sell and can make sure you get the correct radio for your needs. We need them to keep in contact easily when our mobiles don t work due to our rural location . The radios use the mobile network but unlike our phones they can use any carrier. A great purchase with great customer service by Scott at radioworx.
